Introduction and Eligibility

Annually, as part of its statewide aviation education mission, the Colorado Aeronautical Board (CAB) may make available a portion of the Division of Aeronautics Colorado Discretionary Aviation Grant (CDAG) funding for the support and promotion of aviation and aerospace education through its Aviation Education/Workforce Development Grant Program (“Program”). The purpose and intent of this Program is to support education programs, projects and initiatives in Colorado that have direct application to the state’s aviation and aerospace industry and to promote careers in aviation and aerospace among Colorado students. This Program is geared specifically towards education efforts related to aviation and aerospace, aimed at supporting Science, Technology, Engineering, Aviation/Aerospace and Math (STEAM) education opportunities
To be eligible to apply for a grant under this program, the applicant must be an established and accredited public school, college, or university with an existing or proposed aviation or aerospace education program that meets the purpose and intent of the Aviation Education/Workforce Development Grant Program. Private entities are also eligible but must have been in operation for at least five years and carry a demonstrated track record of success in administering and providing education programs that meet the purpose and intent in the Aviation Education and Workforce Development Grant Program Manual.

Funding Request
Funding awarded through the Division's Aviation Education and Workforce Development Grant Program requires a 10% local match from the applicant organization.  For instance, if your organization is requesting funding for equipment to support your program, it would be expected that only 90% of the cost would be requested to be funded by the Division. As you enter the funding amounts below, the contribution percentages will automatically calculate.
Example: "Aircraft A&P Program, Drone Soccer Program, Simulator Program, or Mobile Lab Equipment"
